If you're generally in good health, aged 17 to 65 and weigh at least 50kg (7st 12Ib), you can and should give blood.

Only 6% of the population donate their blood and blood banks turn over their entire stock in a few days. You are needed. And we promise you, the nurses won't look as frightening as Sian here.
